I do not understand why you have to justify your rant :nenau

So they've given you a K1200s to ride well whoopy doo,
if you had wanted a wrist breaking tub of lard you would have bought one instead of the GS :spitfire
couldn't agree more ,about the tub of lard that is :beerjug: ,with a bit of luck might have gs back on monday :D

i ride my bike and lets say deisel spill the worst happens the fully comp insurance picks up the bill :D i ride your bike or anyone else's for that matter and my insurance covers third party only ,as stated to me by the dealer as well your covered third party,so i think outcome and costs would be a lot differant

If you substitute your bike to theirs while on "loan" same level of cover shouldn't be a problem, unless you've only got TP or TPF&T to start off with

My local dealer says he can't get any 06 GS's right now is very upset. According to him, he said the line was shut down and that came from the BMW Rep he had visiting him that day...you would think that if they had bikes in production with good parts available they could ship parts for the bikes already out in the world that are in need. I'm sure they'll get it all ironed out and we'll all be forgetting about this as we wind our way through the twisties once again...

I don't like to keep complaining, I think they are fed up with me already.
I sure they are doing all they can to get it sorted. They might even surprise me next week. :bounce1

My bike was due to be built week 9 (last week in feb) and was, and I had it a week later, doesn't sound right shutting down production line, as mine was spot on time, besides money lost if they stopped production would be through the roof. Mates just ordered one and dealer is linked with factory computer (one good point about living in Germany) and no signs of a delay whatsoever.
JNC is your bike one of the ones with the rounded centre stand, just wondering if the new bikes will be affected by this recall.

Hi Steve,

If you're still using NOG, I think your clutch came in yeserday. Matt was saying he only had one delivered bike with a problem and the parts had just arrived. Please don't hold Matt to it if I'm wrong, but he was intending to have it ready mid-week latest.

NOG only have 3 bikes affected, I gather some dealers have up to 20!

Just had mine delivered and the latest bikes coming off the production line have a few changes, easiest to see is the centre stand.
old

new

mine is new one

guess I'll speak to the dealer if the clutch problems are on the latest bikes, although hopefully mine was only built 2 weeks ago so it should be ok.
