whats the optimum wireless interface card?

I am in danger of using big words I don't understand here, so help needed!
My desktop does not run wirelessly (xp dell), and I would quite like to move it to another part of the house, at some distance beyond the reach of the sky router and well beyond the reach of the 6' of cable!
my wifi laptop works well in this here room, so should nt be any probs( Hah!)

what i need is an experts recomendation of the best ( ie cheapest) wifi card I can buy to plug into the guts of the desktop......

You can plug into the guts if you wish but if you have a spare USB port, just use a dongle thingy. I have just bought 2 unbranded "best value" wireless adaptors from DABS and they work perfectly under £10 each and take a minute to install.

Whilst preferring the card-route, the usb method gives you greater flexibility/redundancy for the future.
