What's the tallest aftermarket screen available for the 1200GS LC?

Puig wind deflector fitted, and pleased to report that it's £50 well spent. Visor up at 70+, no problem. No wind roar or buffeting.
Not sure how a small piece of plastic makes that much difference, but it does!

Just ordered a Puig with deflector and the Wunderlich support bracket. Looking forward to a quieter commute with less wind noise!

Was going to get the cymarc brackets and I'm all for buying British, but they worked out just shy of £70 and the Wunderlich was £25.

Any chance you can put the part number up? Puig site seems to have all sorts of deflectors for the BMW's. Mine is a 2014 GSA if thats the same as yours?

Cheers.

There's usually a reason for that, and the reason is usually quality ;)

I've got a 2014 GS, not the Adventure. I've fitted the clear Puig touring screen, with the clear deflector (part number 6007W). I bought the screen from Pyramid Plastics, and the clear deflector from M and S Motorcycles in Newcastle.
The Puig website tells you which deflector goes with which screen.

Quality may be one reason for the increased cost, though they look broadly similar, but you get 2 brackets from Cymarc, not just the 1 from Wunderlich. Having seen the effects of wind-blast on my own screen with and without brackets, I wouldn't run it with just one fitted as the other side will take an increased load and there will also be a twisting force on the components. No harm in trying it to see, but I suspect you (Crotchrocket) will end up wanting a second bracket.

It's possibly the best money I've spent on the bike.

If cymarc can get them quicker than the Wunderlich i'll buy them, but waiting for a response.

OK, so the Wunderlich support is not here for about 10 days and Cymarc have some brackets in stock, so canceled the wudnerlich and ordered cymarc....

Screen hasn't shown up from M&P yet...

Correct decision - the single Wunderlich support is not sufficient IMO when using a tall screen on a GSA ;)

FINALLY the cymarc brackets arrived. Called to check they were in stock last Wednesday, paid then and there and they didn't get posted until yesterday ...:blast

Anywhoo, glad i got these now. Having used the Puig screen with my bodge of solder reel on one side, the Wunderlich would not have don't the job !

Not that i would change them........But does anyone else's cymarc brackets have all these little sticky out bits on from manufacture? They weren't on the ones shown on the site..... Also, I've got these silver threaded bobbins which are pressed into the bracket. The pictures show a black powder coated captive nut.

Not much point fitting them to your bike just yet!:augie:D

I have just taken delivery of the Puig touring screen dark black (with Cymarc bracing) and I now fear the choice cos I may be unable to see over it in which case it'll be up for sale very soon :blast

An option is to visit your nearest powder coating facility, they will be able to redo the powder coating in virtually any colour you want. Thus it will all be one colour.

Cymark brackets fitted and goodbye to the flippy flappy screen . It's now three wing nuts to adjust the screen but hell I can cope with that .

Did you keep the tall dark screen in the end?
No; immediately re wrapped and re boxed without fitting. I held it up against the bike and I do not feel that I can adequately see over it, which as you can imagine is an issue.
Beautifully made and now on Ebay at nearly £30 cheaper than paid for link here
