Hi All,

I 've had my GS1200 09 plate for 2 months now and the last 2 1/2 weeks its been back in the dealers having a Loom replacement. So i must admit i do not know every knock and cranny on the bike just yet. So when it came back and the delivery service guy asked me to look around it I was perplexed that i noticed a threaded hole at the rear of my RHS barrel that was empty. This is located on the inside next to the injector, I've never noticed it before and on the LHS side there is some form of sensor screwed into it. I might be making a complete twat of myself here but rather that than be sorry. I took a photo of the offending hole but can not upload them, so i hope someone on here can tell me what, if anything it's for.

Its normal :thumb i also have an 09 and mine is the same, also read a thread on here a while ago about someone asking the same question :comfort

What was the problem with the loom??

I posted a couple of weeks ago as my ZFE control unit went tits up, apparently it controls all console and handlebar controls(lers) strang thing was the heated grips were still on Max even when turned off and the key out of the ignition !! so anyway in it went for a new unit under warranty, once control unit was sourced the dealers then found that the connector from the loom was burnt out so another week and half later its finally come back.

Now i cant find mt canbus socket to fit my gps back on grrr !! i know these things often recede to the small knooks and crannys of the head stock area but for the life of me i cant find it !!

Amazing no piss taking, at all...............

Good to meet you and the others today at Bahnstormers, hope you all had a good ride out.

Its where the cylinder head temp sensor used to live when they used to have 2 fitted. Now only fitted to left side.
