Whats this union for then ?

Ok guys i was fitting some Touratrash to my bike and noticed this open union anyone know what its for and shouldnt it be sealed?

Yup It should have a little rubber doofer on it

Part number in Motor works is FUA60594

Should have a rubber "nipple" to cover the end.

Do put it on though as it is sucking in excess air making a lean mixture even leaner

Bike is brand fuckin new !! where would it have gone then .............bastid. Maybe thats why it stalled twice on me yesterday within the first mile of being used, nearly caught me out !!

Its just been knocked off

s'easy to do when they are soft and supple and you are maybe rinsing off a new bike after unpacking from the crate

as to leanness the ECU will compensate for the excessive air getting in but it's like having an out of sync set of throttle bodies possibly leading to the stalling

Find something to "temporarily" seal it and see if it makes a difference to stalling as an experiment?
