What's ya reckon - top box or luggage rolls on GS?

How many company shares have you got now? ;)

None - just a very happy customer.

The reason I 'big the Mules up' is that they are a small British company competing in a market against the multinationals BMW, Touratech and co and I happen to think that people should consider them when shopping for hard luggage.

People here like Verns a lot and I like the Metal Mules. Just sharing a good experience nothing more.

I promise to stop going on about them if you're getting bored. :D

For the same money I'd go for the Ortlieb XL rack pack[/IMG]

At the risk of being accused by Steve of shareholding...

Traveldri-plus supply these and are great people to deal with.

Not just me that says so look here for other people's comments. I didn't even start the thread, some other tosser did.

Back in the bad old days of Zega cases, before I saw the light, I used the lightweight Ortliebs as liners and found them to be really good. They also double up as a pillow when camping.

My tent lives in one of the heavy duty bags which is different to the one Steve pictured as it opens on the short end and doesn't have the carry handles but it's basically the same material and not a single drop of water has ever got in mine after three years (ab)use.

I bought...

an Ortleib bag from the Travel-dri man at the Hogroast last year.
I haven't used a top box since.

That's it! This has got to stop.

I've just chucked all me bleedin cameras away.

;)

Beautiful photos.

I'm going for the roll route. I loath top boxes. Something historical to do with Ken Craven methinks.

Besides tent, carrimat and sleeping bag are suited to a roll.

For the same money I'd go for the Ortlieb XL rack pack, which holds a lot more and is completely waterproof.

Cheers, looks the business.

Tougher than an Ortlieb but not quite as waterproof, though mine havent let any in whatsoever.... North face Base Camp Duffels!!!
