what's your mpg after update

I've just had 347.3 miles out of a tank of gas, with 7 to go before putting 31.5 litres of BP Ultimate in (£39.66 )

and averaged 51.3 mpg @ average speed of 42.9 mph

all according to the on-board computer

Indicating around 55.3 MPG on mine, but I am half running it in !

Assmuming the dealer filled mine up before I bought it then I just got 54mpg off bikes first ever tankfull

Course if he didn't fill it up then it did even better

I just picked my bike up on Saturday with 2500 miles on it. They kindly gave me a free tank of fuel, so it would be rude not to abuse it. I have only got about 140 miles from a tank though? Not really been canning it (that much)

Mine's up from 200 per tank (20L on refill) to 245 miles per tank @18L refill. I think the pick-up sensitivity / datum has been altered as the fuel gauge now does not show completely empty when there's 4 litres left, but the bike seems to sound and feel the same.

I took deliver of my "new" GS from 2007 wednesday. Today I went to Luxemburg (round trip of aprox 700 - 800km forgot to reset the trip meter), and with 500km motorway, 250 mixed riding on very very interesting roads, I get 5.5/5.6l pr. 100km which is around 50mi/g (uk), which I'm very satisfied with.

I do not know which version of the software is on the bike - any way to check that?
