I reckon a mix of Irish, Scots ,English and probably a bit of Norse... not splashing £170 to find out so mebbes the Scots is winning.:D

Hoary old stereotypes aside........

Actually the last time I heard that one was from the guitarist/singer in a hotel in Baddeck, Nova Scotia, last summer. I heckled him as well......:D

Anyway, £170 is the cheapskate's version. It's £200 if you want to have the markers on your mitochondrial DNA identified as well.

We were talking about this today and I suggested my mum and dad did it

Then i'd just read the results and split the difference and save £170:D

The realy bad news is...........I'm a Geordie and born on the banks of the river Tyne in Wallsend so i'm really not Scots at all:tears

The test results couldn't really be any worse could they?:blast

Well I'll just hedge my Royal bets....

The Old man is from Dundee (not to be shouted about) and Mutter is von ze Vaterland where I sprang forth....so if not one of Brucie's Boys :flag, I guess I must be in Lizzie's gang :ronno :nenau

I'm not worried enough to shell out £170 ...:P

No, I just live here. My paternal great grandfather came from Inverness....:P

Any more scrofulous calumny out of you will negate any propinquitous affection that I may have for you, by virtue of your coruscating and fecund contributions to this site over the years, you antediluvian old git.......:rob

Mother from Montrose
Father from S/E London

read into that what you will
