2nd or 3rd gear overtakes sometimes get the front wheel up a bit.

It was horrible on the stock shocks but is much more controllable with the aftermarket ones.

Dunno how to go about doing a wheelie off the clutch though :nenau

pull clutch in....
increase engine RPM.....
release clutch firmly (don't just let it go)....
easy eh ?;)
best done in 2nd....as even an Adv come up quite quick in 1st....:eek
Two up with full panniers come up quite quick as well....:nenau

It took Weeksy a while, so it must be difficult...... And I thought it beyond me!
 
Whats the point of a 'wheelie'? Now a 'stoppie' teaches you all about brake control and could prove useful - but what do you learn from a wheelie?:rob

it actually teaches you not to panic when it comes up accidently....
or even more honestly...
they are fun..which is what riding bikes is all about.....;)
