Wheels and spokes

My wheels are rusty and not looking good. What is the best way to clean them?

The spokes are made of what material? Stainless steel?

Once they are gone they are gone

Spokes - They are not stainless - they are chrome plated

(generally stainless are not recommended for "off road" bikes, if you can call a GS an off road Bike)

Rims are alloys - Autosolve will work but, although even when you get them "shiny" they will always be marked, now that they are "black" with alloy corrosion

Good luck - you will wear your fingers out cleaning the rims and spokes

I've the same problem on mine the previous owner had tried to paint the spokes and used little skill or craft so for me its a full rebuild and get the hubs blasted and the rims polished or powdercoated, stainless spokes and I was thinking black powdercoated rims and hubs sounds OK
