I'm thinking about a set of cast wheels and there are some on eBay from Lithuania, does anyone know anything about these? It's hard to believe so many spares originate from a country with a population of under 3 million.

Not wanting to generalise, but I think that's where all the stolen bikes end up. So by buying from there, you are helping to fuel the stolen bike trade.

I could be wrong though.

Genuine seller he's brought a container load :augie his friends dad gave up biking  I remember seeing a program where they flew over a yard & trackers lit up like Xmas trees ! I'd say fucking nuke them on the spot :rocketwho

Don't touch them - the probability of these being legitimate are close to zero I'd say.

Are you looking to change from spoked wheel's to alloy? if so I have a set I would px with you.

Still good keep the spokes to refit at sale time, then sell the cast wheels.

"On the balance of probability" ...... Wot I thought about Lithuania.

Also, when purchasing unless you have items delivered to a separate address ,seller knows where there is another bike to steal.

This operation has been going for several years which might suggest that it is above board

Of course, you'll never buy anything from a UK eBay vendor that's been knocked off .....

Being Lithuanian myself I can tell that there're up to 10 - R1200GS's in the whole country (including mine), so I would be wary of buying anything from there :)

Sure it was the same punter that was selling gsa tc parts a few of years ago, all of which were immaculate including wheels ,forks ,engine ,exhaust ,cosmetics and clocks and from a model which had only been released a few months beforehand, draw your own conclusions
