When an alpine pass says closed until - Is that defo

Section between near Andorra and Montelimar ofc. Very nice ride.
Now that looks interesting - I’ve kept the same ferry’s to/from Cherbourg and the trips been moved to the Pyrenees with me in the Spyder, a Ferrari 355Spider and a 911.

Your route could work well reversed and peeling off to Cherbourg

Very nice.
I was considering a 4 wheeled trip to Spain this summer too. Might ferry both ways.

My suggestion for the Pyrenees is to start at Olorons Ste Marie, stay in the Hotel Le Central. Not expensive. You can then ride from there via Laruns across the D918, over some of the best French Cols. Pick up the D618 at Arreau to the Spain border and stay in Vielha. Hotel Eth Pomer was a nice family run place or there is a Parador. From there you can ride over the C28 and Puerto Bonaigua to Sort where you meet the N260. You can follow that to the med coast if you turn left, or back to Jaca if you go right.

An alternative is to ride the N260 to Puigcerda, cross into France on the D618 again and then up through the Aude Gorge to Quillan and Carcassonne

Thanks for that and especially the hotel recommendations 👍

Thanks for all the inputs - My June trip is now all re planned and booked, the Pyrenees in both directions. I kept the same Cherbourg ferry so the route home includes a couple of nights on Île de Ré

Some of the Alpine passes that had said closed till 15th June are now showing 25th JuneIMG_1077.jpeg

A few good routes here including the official "Route des Cols";

Pyrenees Ride Outs

I also have imported many of the Ride Routes over the years, but worth checking the route / waypoints as they sometimes don't calculate that well and need a tweak or two - and I have not validated most of them;

Ride Routes - use at own risk!
