When did servo brakes stop?

Just doing my research on which model 1200 GS or GSA to buy. I've decided to avoid getting one with servo brakes, so does that mean I need the 2008 MU model (GS or GSA) to avoid a bike with servo's? Or did servo's get dropped before that, and was it all the same year or was there a difference between when the GS and GSA brakes got changed?

Any help much appreciated.

Don't forget that non-ABS bikes (of any year) don't have servos

Just check it hasn't servo brakes by pulling the lever, if there is a loud whine then its got a servo
