Because this plastic puller tool didn't the other week in France.
Having had a similar fault previously I suspected that a coil pack had failed but couldn't get the things out to check. Eventually ended up at the BWM dealer Heli-Pack at St.Etienne who couldn't have been more helpful, with agreement from the Manager a mechanic, who also had a GSA, stopped his work and after only 30mins start to finish including before and after test rides only charged me for the part itself

I could have checked these before starting out but with everything running ok I didn't give it a thought


I'd like to think that a UK dealer would be as helpful to a French rider turning up unannounced
