When will ripoff Ireland end-if ever?

I just might take you up on that kind offer, will let you know in next few days. I need an Ikea Mattress( slightly oddball size to fit my slightly oddball size Ikea Bed and no local stores have that size or price)I'm getting a courier to collect a mattress from Ikea Belfast and bring it here to me in Cork saving about 100 euro over the Ikea Dublin price( which would still have needed a courier at same charge)so will be seeing if he can pop into a halfords while he is up there and will know in next day or two if he is agreeable. A colleague of mine was fitting out a holiday house and saved almost two thousand euro by getting courier to bring stuff ( white goods and furniture) down from North. The whole thing is mind boggling.

No worries, just drop me a pm.Hope to make the trip Monday/Tuesday.
I know what you mean.I do a lot of shopping up north myself.

Looks like I'm sorted, the courier will go buy the mattress and the wenches in Belfast and bring them to cork for only €85 euro. Obviously he isn't doing the run just for me and I'm sure he will have a good few jobs on like mine that day.Seems like a good deal to me, the petrol alone to Dublin and back would have set me back over 60 euro, so I should be 'quids in' as they say.

Friends of ours just built a new house and all the interior stuf and i mean all of it came from the UK. They saved a fortune. The Shipping costs were minimal on account of the large amount of stuff they bought.

Paid 300 euro or 50% of the money to courier on Sunday by internet banking, I did wonder if I'd ever again hear from him. The guy arrived today with my mattress and torque wrenches, bloody amazing service. Ok so he charged me another 15 for the torque wrench pickup and with bank exchange rates plus a little total was 740 euro delivered to the door.If I lived in Dublin I could have done my own shopping and taken mattress home on roofrack all in for 765, so another way of looking at it is that I got free delivery to Cork and didn't have to haul around Ikeas store to buy the thing and still saved 25 euro. So if you are living in Cork area and want Ikea stuff brought down from Dublin/Belfast to your doorstep then www.happyflatpacks.com is your man :thumb2

We're definitely being ripped off down here.

Where was this? I have been looking out for Rukka for ages and not found any in Dublin. Ducati is listed as reseller on Rukka's website but they didn't have a single item when I went there.

Sven E, saw Rukka at a bike shop close to Stevens Green. Can´t remember the name of the shop.
