Bonjour.......

Just registered as I'm in the market for a GS.... still undecided on whether to get a normal one or a GSA... Had an 05 GS for a year, and now on a K12... Have test ridden a GSA and it fits me better so thats the preferred option...

but when.... are the the 2010's being sold ?? Not going for a new one but hoping to find a nice low mileage trade in, in the dealerships.... :):)

Cheers tossers:D:D

Official launch at the dealerships is 6/7th February 2010 and the first orders should be ready for delivery around that date but you may find a lot of new owners may hold on three weeks until the new registrations come out on March 1st before taking delivery.

Welcome to the site :)

Welcome to the site. I was in the same position a year ago but after several test rides at a dealer I ended up buying a v low mileage bike off this forum so its worth keeping an eye on the FS section. Cheaper than buying from a dealer plus its a safe option if the bike is still within warranty. I have since used my dealer for servicing and some accessories so they are not too mad with me anymore.

Thankyou very much !:thumb:thumb

what year gsa are you looking for ???

If I've got my product history right, no doubt some tosser will come along and tell me if im wrong :augie:augie, I'm after an 08, with the slightly tweaked engine... ABS is a must, ESA would be a nice to have... Paniers would be a nice to have..

Just a guess here... but are you selling your bike? you'll need to subscribe and place it in the FS&W- or send a PM .... Bryn :thumb

Chas,

It the GSA is anything like the standard bike then ESA is a must IMHO as it seems fimer and better damped. Being able to djust the preload quickly when SWMBO jumps aboard is great too :thumb2

The ESA has been pretty handy on the K12, as half my ridings done with our lass on the back. Glad you're enjoyign your new beasty...

At the risk of sidetracking this thread I'm going to ask a quick question:

On average how many bikes (GS and non-GS) are there for sale in the subscribers-only FS&W section?

In the last 4 days....

Mint 1150
F800 GS
06 GSA
99T 1100
08 GS
650GS
02 1150
650 scarver

Then I got bored with noting them down....

Thats not counting the cars and other bikes ;)

If I was looking to buy or sell I wouldn't go anywere else... even sold a 6.5K Golf on here a while ago... and bought a 18,000mile N reg Clio as a run around for £500.. that was 18 months ago and I'd get my money back any time of the day if I sold it.... all for 3p a day ;)

Ta Bryn. I'll defo subscribe - reading this forum has potentially saved me thousands by showing me the alternatives to TT - but I'm holding off until I've done by DAS in April.

To be honest I'd pay up now but I'd only end up blowing a fortune on a bike that I wouldn't be able to ride. So it's a practice in self control too.

Better idea... subscribe now.. then dig out all your unwanted stuff, sell it on here and get the £12 back....

Win win :D

It would be if I had any unwanted stuff. Unless someone wants to trade 15 years worth of Star Wars toys for a GS.
