Where can I buy a ground loop isolator that:

  • is stereo
  • 3.5mm three-pole jack plug one end
  • 3.5mm three-pole jack socket the other end

All the eBay items seem to be DIN plugs/sockets (and, no, I can't be ars*d to change them - it's not for my bike!!)

From a ground loop isolator shop of course :blast

I bought one of the cheap ones from ebay, and it was crap to be honest. It lowered the overall sound volume and took all the 'shine' off the music I was playing. I didn't want to pay autocom prices so bought one made by PAC shipped from the US which cost a bit under £20, model PAC SNI-1/3.5. Can be found on US ebay.

This I plugged into the autcom with the output from the gps into the input of the PAC. This gave good volume and much better quality.

Not much difference in price, so might be worth going with one that's known to work. Or I may have my old chinese ebay one in a box somewhere if you'd like it.

Many thanks - I've since had an e-mail from the owner of the 990 Adventure in question and he says:

"No more tech stuff, it either works or not!!"

He's not very good with gizmos!!
