Where can I get a headlight from? (R1150GS)

I did post this up in Items Wanted but there's been no response and seeing the result that mr_magicfingers got on his rocker cover (), I thought it might be worth asking again here.

Does anyone have a spare main headlight unit for an 1150GS? I've managed to crack mine and although it's not letting in water, it's going to fail the MOT next year. I've tried Motorworks and Sherlocks, both without luck; is there another breaker I could try?

I've posted a couple of times in wanted as I need a dip headlight cause mines cracked.

All you can really do is put in a request for first dibs on any that come into the breakers. and keep your fingers crossed. (the one place you don't mention is Motobins)

I guess the price of a new one is astronomical.

Sorry, when I said 'main' headlight, I meant the dip beam - the big one. Never considered main opposed to dip.

Guess I'll be racing dancerdave to get one. Cheers for the tip on Motobins, I'll give them a call.

They're a sealed unit, £170 from the dealer. Motorworks list them at £45 for a used one.

Motobins haven't got one either

Don't rely on simply looking at the website.. give them a call. When it comes to 2nd hand parts you can't expect them to keep the website completely up to date.... particularly if they've only recently had a bike in to break.
