Where Did That Come From?

Exactly as the post says, does anybody have any clues as to where this coming from, I've checked any leakage which may have occurred from above and everything is dry, eg from air cleaner, pipework etc..where ever its coming from there wasn't enough to get on my boots or trousers...its a mystery to me...oh, its definately oily greasy in texture and has occurred on my last two ride outs.

It's coming out of the small plug at the top of the left hand outer casing. You can see it in the centre of the second picture.
Mine is leaking there too.... Warranty time......?

8.3 hours, fabulous! needs a self tapper in it with a bit of silicon

Small anount of silicone sorts it out mine has been fine for 40 hrs like it

what is it... Crank breather 1 way valve ??

Its a oil feed to the end of the alternator cover must feed a bearing
