Where do you keep yours (Toll badge that is)

I thought I would update people on how it went.

I put the tag in the little storage compartment on top of my fuel tank as it fits in there perfectly (with room for other stuff)

Got to my first toll road and I rode up to the barrier and within 3-5 seconds the barrier opened and I was through

After that as I slowly rode up to the barriers they were open before I needed to stop

Absolutely brilliant bit of kit and made life so much easier

SO thank you all for your assistance

Well I'm off to France tomorrow (Cherbourg) and I bought a tag a few weeks ago.

I have seen mentions of people sticking it in their jacket pocket etc but has anyone left it in the little cubby hole on the top front of the fuel tank?? Does it still work in there (its only a plastic cap)

I don't want to fit it to the bike so wondered if it works in there?

Its one of these badges

I followed your link but have no idea what I need for my trip to France in June/July. I have no specific route and will make it up as I go.

Q ; Is there one device that lets me travel on any road, in any region across France?

I got mine through a link on Eurotunnel and it works all over France.

Any of the French ones work throughout the whole country

You can also get tags that cover several countries, mine does France, Italy, Spain and Portugal

There is a sticky thread here with much info…..

From my link select TOLLBADGE DISCOVER OUR OPTIONS (if its not in English top right corner you can change the website to ENG)

Then select FULLI NOMADE 0 Euro (You can use this all over France, Spain and Portugal, there isn't a France only)

Then click SUBSCRIBE

Then next bit you will need to fill in the form

Makesure you also download the app to keep track

Its so easy and I have never been billed incorrectly

Thank you, all done!

Bit of a challenge getting my birth year in!!! Wouldn't accept a year beginning with 19xx. lol.

Also had to find my IBAN as account number was not being accepted.

I assume the "badge" is an electronic tag of some kind?

Yeah it's quite small and easy to stick in your pocket or tank bag

Takes about a month's after travel for the money to come out

Glad you got it sorted

Oh and I highly recommend the app to keep track

I'm slow to move with some tech, TBH. Having travelled across Europe many times, by car and bike, I have always stayed off major routes or just paid by credit card at the tolls, a right pain when it's pissing down! This should make things a bit easier.

Just be aware the first time you approach a toll booth it will take a couple of seconds (feels like a lifetime) for it to operate

From then on the barriers will open instantly

Apologies if you already know this but one tag can be used on different vehicles (eg car and bike) by changing the vehicle reg number in the app before making the trip. The toll booths are intelligent enough to work out whether the vehicle is a car (class 1) or bike (class 5).

We are off to France/Italy 3 weeks tomorrow armed with a Tollbird unit. Will report back on its performance.

Well, all worked well until ......

I am so fucking angry with Fulli, fuming doesn't come close.

Having used the device (successfully) on my travels in France in late June and July, I get an email from Fulli (in French) last week, that my bank has refused to pay the direct debit, on my instruction, apparently.

My bank have not received a request from Fulli, have not refused any DD and I have not requested them to refuse a payment.

Fulli have taken it upon themselves to charge me E150 for an "additional guarantee fee" and a further E11 for cancelling the card (cancelled because I didn't pay the bill for the E150) and I did not request them to cancel. In fact, last week, before this kicked off, I successfully changed the vehicle details to a car for us to use in November, for a week away in France.

Before they said they were cancelling the card, I tried to get in to my Fulli account but it is I'mpossible .... until I pay their entire invoice. I have no access to any of my account info, which card I used for the DD, for example, nothing, not even the online help or any other tab.

I have had 3 phone conversations, each promising they will make notes on my account, each saying I will be contacted, emails will be sent (in English), I filled in a form on their website and each effort has failed to get even close to resolving the issue. It is not possible to reply to their emails, only via their website form. And around we go again.

Virtually everything is in French, even when E (English) is selected from the web page dropdown, the forms are in French. Fair enough I hear you say but, given that hundreds of thousands of English speakers have France as a destination, you'd think they accommodate a bit more readily.

I admit, my French is poor, certainly not good enough to talk in detail to anyone from Fulli, even if they do call me back, which they have not done..

What the feck do I do now?

Maybe I should just pay their extortion and tell them to va te faire foutre, poutain de mere! Or whatever the French version is.

Are you sure that the account / direct debit was set up properly in the first place?

I have used an Emovis / Sanef tag for years, with no problems. One advantage being, they have a UK presence, all be it ooop north.

No but, is that not up to Fulli? I gave them my bank details, or I assume I would not have received the tag. Either way, without access to my Fulli account, I can't do anything, check anything.

Yeah weirdly I had a load of emails recently from them about needing to pay money (I haven't been through any tolls on my last 5 journey's) and like you cannot get into my account on the app or website so chucked it in the bin as I'm not in that desperate need for one. They never replied to my emails either so stuff them.

Thank feck for that! I thought it was just me .... again! :rob

I thought it was a scam but the first email just said you need to login and add some money, which I did within an hour of receiving the email but I've not been able to log in to my account since.

I sent them two emails but never got a reply other than an automated one again asking for money. Stuff them, a nice to have not a need.

If you have a Klim jacket , put into the small wrist (medical id) pocket on the left sleeve. Otherwise buy a security (doorman) type arm band pocket.

However, the tank cubby on the GSA should be fine too.
