Now I'm puzzled as the ain't no hole in the air box for it either.

What ya recon !

Sorry Ding Dong, I Dunno..... but what I do see from your top photo is just how low the centre of gravity is built into this bike, plain to see with some of it's cloths removed...I can see why it handles the way it does..fab!

Looking on the parts website the hose is correct obviously the rubber hose is a vent for the fuel tank and connects to the main filler. Would I be right in thinking the connector you see is to allow the tank to breath in case you submerse the bike in water !

Or maybe for a filter of sorts for the American market :nenau

Have to ask, why the strip down?

Two reasons im fitting a pc5 with quick shifter shifter and i brought some nippy Norman bar risers 35mn up and back made by wunderlich when fitted the brake cable is really tight on the top yoke on lock the instructions do say you have to unclip the brake cable but to do so is tank and air box off major strip down and you need the correct tools to remove the clips off the throttle bodies. Its a lot of hassle for just bar risers ? Tbh you could leave it as it was but I like things to be right and striping it down gives you a feel for the bike and my major clean before I put it away will involve stripping it down clean than Acf .

I'm also happy I stripped it down as I found a clip on the air intake hose lose and with movement was letting in air.

Ayup mark what i meant was the breather hoses exit by the sump so if you ride through water higher than the sump the hose you see in my picture will still vent the tank !

That's a lot of work for the bar risers! Quick shifter sounds fun tho :thumb

I got 40mm wilbers risers up and back.:thumb
It did warn about possibly having to take some clips off brake cables etc to adjust , but luckily I didn't have to, that kind of strip down would leave me in a cold sweat:eek:
