where has the heat gone

Hi All,

I have just put some secondhand heated grips on my 05 1200GS. All went well except no heat

Is it a fuse issue ? Any ideas welcome.

If I'm not mistaken, you'll need to make a trip to the dealer to have them enabled in the ECU so that the CanBus system recognises them.

Correct you need the software update to get them working

Thanks for the replies chaps I guessed as much.
I tried disconnecting the battery to reset the MCU but no luck

So off to the dealers on Saturday

I didn't need to go to the dealer when I recently fitted my heated grips on my 1100GS.....is this progress ? :confused:
