Coming round to the idea of getting another GS but going the 'classic' route and getting another 1150GS but and Adventure this time.

Where are they? Have they all been locked away and cherished, or scrapped? How much to I have to spend to get a reasonably decent one?

None on Autotrader, a few on fleabay ...... What's going on?

Wanted Ad on here - plenty lurking in spidery garages - pay between £2k - £3k for a nice one Sub £2k for a shitter - do not pay over £3k cos its shiney.... dead money.

Just my thoughts

Got to disagree slightly with twizzle here, a well cared for, lower miles 1150 GSA is worth over £3k. Doubt you will easily find one for less.

I was really meaning in general ... there are a few, just a very few, and none older than 20 years which is the sweet spot for classic insurance.

I have 2, in the garage.........most longterm owners are hanging on to them

I've got a lovely yellow one. Mine was rebuilt by Mikeyboy and is worth more than £3k thank you very much.

I'll take 5 for it though. :augie

I've got one in my garage (an SE), not ridden it for years But I still like to look at it - lots of memories.

But sir, we are not taking about GSA’ are we?

Edit.... re read post.... seems he is looking for and Adventure....

I’ll reevaluate.... £4-6k......

I’d say that any tidy GS with under 50k miles is worth at least £3k with a GSA probably 50% more though I know which I think is better value.

Quite. It's something I've never really understood but then that may be influenced but me not being overly keen on the Adventure variants (of any model iteration).

Strange to think that when I first registered on this forum the 1150GS / GSA was the only new Boxer-twin GS you could buy!!

17 years later and my 1150 is still my only bike, and I'll never sell it. I suspect that there are many out there in a similar position.
