Back in the early ninties at an auction in guildford, where the TRL (transport research labs) used to send their bikes to be auctioned off when they'd finished fecking around with them, i bought a 1982ish R80RT fitted with a lockheed mechanical type of ABS system.

I then stupidly sold it on, and haven't heard anything about it since :nenau Anyone know anything about it's where abouts ?

That reminds me of the FVQ shock absorbers fitted on some early 750 honda's..

Brill - what a unique bike to own (or not :augie )

They'd probably never dare to sell it these days for fear of getting sued...

My old CB500T honda had TWAT forks (twist and weave all the time) and the latest HERPES exhaust system (Honda Energy Reproduction Power Exhaust System) Just so I didn't gt left out with all the TSCC,aads, and all the other bollix that was on jap bikes.

Maybe it's just a reflection of the company I kept, but Suzuki's 'Full Floater',
used to get the most giggles, back in the day..:rob

Anyway.
As to Steppers's old R80? No doubt an update from someone will occur.
I imagine you have the reg. No. Is there no way of DVLC-ing that? Tell 'em you work for Tesco, or something. Seems like any firm can mis-use data bases atm.
