Where to get a rear spring for my weight and how easy to fit?

being tall and heavy, taking a passenger and being loaded up with luggage I am of the opinion that I need to change the stock spring on the bike.
I am around 150kg, so where does one get replacement springs for this kind of weight? I currently have the ESA on 'high' and I can feel it bottom out frequently when wafting along.

Once purchased said spring, is it considered an easy job to replace?

Max load capacity is quoted at 216 kg, so presumably your pillion and luggage is quite light.

Not sure how you’d stand if you’re running over the max plated weight. Though I’d doubt anyone’s going to stop and weigh you, the insurance might take an interest in case of an accident?

In the past I had a hyper pro shock built for my gs800adv. Currently I have a touratech shock set up for my weight (120kg + luggage 20kg) on my tenere. Not sure about fitting on a WC GSA but most suppliers normally have a fitting service.

Fitting a replacement spring can be really hard and really dangerous. You will need a spring compressor and most of those are shite. Once you have the spring compressed, watch out because there is a shit-tonne of kinetic energy there just waiting to take your eye out or worse if something goes wrong.

I've done it on car springs, fearing for my life all the time. More recently, I just take the spring and shock assembly to a local garage and get them to put it on using their hydraulic compressor. £20 well spent.

But....the best advice as posted above is to get in touch with Denz-0. Send him your entire shock and he will rebuild it to your requirements for a very reasonable fee, plus you will keep all your eyes and fingers.

Had an uprated spring and service via t tech suspension.cost around 250 ish.
If your bike has done more than 10k have the shock serviced.

Plenty of you tube videos on how to remove.
