Morning Ladies and Gentleman.

Myself and a lot of our chaps from my club ride BMWs of all ages. But most are still in warranty. We're looking for a reputable workshop to service our bikes and fit some electronic gizmos and other toys. We're riding out to Switzerland in May so need to get in before that.

We're not looking for cheap. We're looking for competent. We have an ex police mechanic in our ranks but his knees are knackered and he hasn't the will learn diagnostics and electrogizmotrickery.

We tried the main dealer in Chester and it's a horror show there. I struggle to believe that BMW allow it to continue. I know there is an independent near South Wales but it's too far. Especially as I imagine they would need the bike for a couple of days for some of the work.

Cheers,

Mac

@MotoRevive has resumed his independent business on a home service, come to you basis

he updated his post yesterday and states he is already taking bookings for April so get in quick

he is authorised to undertake warranty work and has BMW diagnostics

Hi Mac.

I'm operating out of Chester/Wirral. North Wales should absolutely be doable for me.

And as Wessie kindly says, I will come to you..

I have all the BMW genuine diagnostics equipment and software and can keep your warranty history up to date.

Even if I can't get to you, be aware that BMW will honour a warranty as long as genuine parts are used and the schedule is followed. So it doesn't have to be a BMW specialist really. Just keep an invoice which lines up with your service schedule which details the work done and the genuine parts used and BMW will look after you.

It's a total myth that you have to use a main dealer for servicing. Although they are the only ones who can conduct recalls and warranty work.
If you read the back of your owners manual or call BMW customer services , they will clarify this.

If you'd like to get in touch, you can contact me on 07578750900

Cheers, Ted
