Wife and I have four weeks off this summer and are thinking some beach time in southern Spain/Algarve and then explore some of Morocco by bike. June is going to be hot in 'rocco but we'll have to live with it.

Plan is to tow the bike down behind our campervan.

So .......any ideas where we may be able to leave a small camper van and trailer (safely) in southern Spain whilst we hop on the bike for 10 days to nip over to Morocco.

parking

A couple of years ago Rin_sun and I did exactly what you are planning. We left our motorhome at Camping Las Dunas (http://www.lasdunascamping.com) at El Puerto de Santa Maria near Cadiz. Its a nice quite little town with a beach facing the atlantic (where you can practice your sand riding after dark) it has some great seafood restuarants and is ideally place for quick visits to Cadiz and Jerez. Best of all it only a couple of hours ride to Tarifa.

Its has good access, we even got our 40ft American Motorhome in there complete with trailer. I think they charged about 6euro per night. it has good security with 24hour patrol and barriers at the entrance. We has no issues leaving our £200,000 van there for 4 weeks.

After driving down through central France and east coast of Spain , we enjoyed a week exploring the area before heading to Morrocco. When we returned it was great to spend another week relaxing, washing the bikes/cloths etc before headed back up through the west of Spain and France.
