Glad you liked it. One of my favourites in northern France, in fact TimeandTide are staying there tonight before heading back home tomorrow!

I've just booked to go back here for a few nigths with the missus in September after a fantastic nights stopover last week. Food, rooms and service first class.
Highly recommended

On our way back to UK we are looking to stay overnight around 70..100 miles from Calais. If anyone has any recommendations I would be pleased to hear them.
We will be traveling up from Troyes area.

Thanks
We stayed at the Mercure centre Gare in St Omer last Saturday night. Clean rooms, secure parking, 10 minutes walk to the main square. Great bars and restaurants.
40 minutes to the tunnel on the following morning.

ST Omer is a nice place if you decide to stop closer to Calais . Has a very British feel about it .

Just sorting out another trip for September and came across this thread and recommendation.

I contacted them via their contact page but after three days I had not heard back from them, which I was surprised about. So today I telephoned and they could not have been more helpful, with Cécile and her limited English putting my even more limited French to shame, but we secured places for the group, and parking for our bikes. No explanation for the lost enquiry.

Last year's trip with this bunch saw us on the final day trying to make it back from Vianden, Luxembourg using the twisty routes. However, after a beautiful week of weather it hammered it down all that night so as we climbed out of the valleys next morning the visibility was poor, very poor with heavy mists and fog. The roads were treacherous and we ended up losing too much time as some riders were struggling, it was stressful for some so we had to adjust things significantly.

So a final night closer to the Tunnel was promised this year and this looks to fit the bill, I will report back after I have visited but after having conversed with the Hotel I feel pretty confident.

I heard it had gone downhill?

🤷‍♂️
It’s a first time here for me so couldn’t say
- would not hesitate to come back on tonight’s impression.
👍

No other biker mates here.
A couple of really nice classic cars and friendly drivers though.
(Triumph, Morgan and the ubiquitous Jaaaag)

I think it maybe said something about new management on booking.com (?)
Latest Google reviews for the last few months are also pretty good.

Anyway, I would come back just for the cheese in calvados crust !

Thank you.

Good to know that a regular favourite from the past has risen from the ashes.

Indeed. Will maybe pay it another visit. When I was there back in 2022 it was run down and the food not very good.
Might have something to do with new ownership.
