Where was I - with a crappy camera phone

Footbridge near Limerick Uni? Read about that a few years ago, just a guess.

Give that man a big cigar.

It's the 250m long Living Bridge on the Unveristy of Limerick campus. Crosses the mighty Shannon linking Limerick with Clare. It moves under your feet as you cross it. Back and forward twice today, all in a day's work.
There is a cafe at the far end which does a great beer batter fish and hand cut chips - but only on a Friday lunchtime.

I think it was mentioned as part of an article on d'wireless about athletics training there, and possibility of Olympic competitors training there.
Am I overthinking this a bit, d'ya think?...

More of a bit of understatement.
In the moment when London was announced the phone in the Arena started ringing and the entire place was booked out for the month leading up to the Games in the next hour.
The Dutch swim team trained on campus for the last Olympics, the Arena is a one stop shop for everything they needs - pool, weights room, indoor running track, fitness room. Beside it is the track and field stadium
National Coaching and Training Centre with all the testing equipment is 2 minutes walk. The Harlequins rugby team are here this week
An indoor rowing tank has been installed by the students in their Boathouse on the river.
There are 2,500 beds on campus and 3 hotels within walking distance.
Lots of visitors from all over the world looking at the facilities to see how it should be done.
