Has anyone put auxiliary lights on their 1150RT, and if so, where did you mount them? Apart from bikes with Police crash bars, I can't think where lights could be mounted.
I thought the 'side lights' were Fog Lights Neil? Why do you need auxiliary lights. The 1150RT has extra lights each side of the headlight ..
As someone whose ridden most of his riding career with just standard headlights I never even thought of aux lights on my 1150rt... And my experience of meeting them is they are much the same as fog lights as its a diffuse light source ... Just shows how fashions have changed...I thought the 'side lights' were Fog Lights Neil?
I have the 3 lights (main & 2 aux) on my other 2 bikes. It's a safety issue and makes me feel better when riding. I feel 4 wheelers can see you with the triangle of lights rather than a single one. Something to do with depth perception.

Fair point, but my decisions have never been influenced by fashion, just simply safety or self-preservationAs someone whose ridden most of his riding career with just standard headlights I never even thought of aux lights on my 1150rt... Fair point too... The whole DLR thing is different from crap headlights at night I suppose... I bought an XTZ12 that was like starship enterprise and I thought they were added as the headlights were so shite but it was probably the adventure bike DLR thing instead... It's night lighting was still shite however...Fair point, but my decisions have never been influenced by fashion, just simply safety or self-preservation![]()
