The University has one of the longest footbridges in Europe, called the "Living Bridge", designed by Wilkinson Eyre Architects of London.

Click to expand... nearly right, Bin LIT doesn't have the Shannon running through its campus. It's the "Living Bridge" which spans the mighty Shannon linking Co. Limerick South Campus and Co. Clare North Campus on the University of Limerick.

Heard about it couple of years back on BBC radio program re sport training in the area, and opportunities for Olympics teams to train there in security and away from pollution etc... wonder did it happen?
