I'm chasing a parasitic drain on the bike and finally have a bit of time to look into it. I've discounted the accessories I have fitted so am now delving deeper. Have now disconnected the alternator pos & neg connections to see if that makes a difference. While I'm in there, I'd like to check the main earth but where the heck is it? Can't see it anywhere and can't find it mentioned in the reprom either. Any clues? Bike is an '08 GSA.

Top of engine towards the left sitting in bike. You should see the think black cable from the battery bolted on there. My bike didn't have abs so don't know if all that gubbins would cover it.

I found the one which sits on top of the engine just to the left of the alternator and ABS modulators but that's the earth for the alternator. That's disconnected now but there's still an earth to the battery as the bike still lights up on the ignition.

There are also grounds ( earths) . The rear of the right hand cylinder head.
I cant remember of hand if there is one on the left hand head as well. ( I think these are black same as the one on top of the engine.
Probably stating the obvious, Most BMW ground ( Earth) wires Motorcycle and cars are colour coded brown.
