Which bluetooth comms should I get?

i recently

bought a pair of Interphone F4's from here, cheaper than UK and work very well so far.

I've just bought a pair of F4's as well but from a uk supplier what an awesome bit of kit. I've paired my iphone4 to zumo 660 then paired that to the F4 through audio on zumo and it works a treat good sound and loud.:thumb

just

over a week, another poster here put me onto the seller and he got his even quicker. Very impressed with the kit so far.

i just want rider pillion and sat nav and phone capability not bike to bike.
i presume the F3 would be the choice for me then?

my scala teamset has gone tits up again so want to get something different this time and interphone may fit the bill.

how are you all getting on with your units?

IMHO none. Go for a Starcom. They are coming out with a RADIO cordless (ie not Bluetooth) shortly but it will be expensive.

That's not too bad I suppose. At least I'll have them before I get the ferry then :D

that system has been coming out for over a year now and it still has not appeared yet. I thought about ordering one at the nec 2009 as starcom said they were taking deposits for them for release by feb 2010.:nenau
I got fed up waiting so went for the F4 instead

Just installed one of the pair of F4's I just received from seller 'nellosrv' on ebay Italy, very impressed so far. Lots of testing will be done later on.

"nellosrv" got them on my watch list on ebay with a view to buying from them.

Scala G4

I bought a pair of Scala G4 a couple of weeks ago and am chuffed with them.
It was the box with 2 in, i think they were quite expensive (haven't had my amex bill yet ).
The guy in NOG (James) put them on the helmets, checked to make sure they had the latest software on them, connected them to my satnav and paired them all in about 20/30 mins so either he is really fast (he is really helpful ) or they are relatively easy to set up.
Quality is really good, battery life seems excellent - only things i interested in really so i can recommend them in my opinion.

Q2

ive just ordered a scala rider Q2 from Pentagon GPS, they seem to have good specs, main reason for buying was, its a cracking deal one was £95 with postage , multiset was about £180 with postage, cheapest i found on the net, even cheaper than their own ebay shop. may be because of the pro version just released but even so i'm happy:thumb2

i'm really tempted by that price. as i have said elsewhere i've had a bit of bad luck with scala's but that said they do seem to do what they say. apart from the failures i've had the only operational problem has been the low audio between me and the pillion not improved much by better positioning of the ear peices.

i'm a bit worried about the waterproofing of the Q2 as there seems to be a jack plug socket for the mp3 lead on the boom mike mount that is open to the elements :eek

have you got the kit yet? if so have you tried it? would appreciate any feedback.

not actually tried it on the bike yet due to being stuck at work since it arrived, but have set it up and tried it around the house like you do :augie
so far so good.
it says the Q2 is slightly waterproof but not advisable for torrential weather etc, the audio socket is on the bottom so not sure how much it would leak :nenau
i'll be trying it out tommorrow so will let you know otherwise check
