Now all the kids have left home :clap :clap I want to cut down the broadband package ATM im paying £25 I was hoping to get it down to around £15 ish I only need 2meg for the surfing I do.

I do have sky[I look at there surf speak tv deal] but to be fair dont watch tv that much and was thinking of cancelling it.

Any suggestions of a good package ?

UK Online / Easynet (might e now owned by Sky I think) has been good for me for over 2 years. 2 meg, £9.99.

And the helpdesk is a local call to a bunch of people in Shepton Mallet (I kid you not).

Whatever you do don't go for the sky service if you want to be able surf at will. Worst move I ever made was taking there service. never mind, only four months to go...

Providers

I've ben with tiscali for over a year all been very good, if you have their phone service it's very cheap, I've got their phone service at weekends ony
(hardly use it at week ends) and now costs £12.00 perminth, bellive they do a speacial half price offer for first six months. Don't touch tesco, I had it for three months and half an hours surfing! not good.

Virgin Media - ADSL Plan 2 £17.99 up to 8 meg no download limits.

I have just signed up to Talk Talk land line inc line rental which is the same as BT option3 (£17.99) and although I havn't got it yet, b band is free.

I'm unfortunately with Pipex at the mo, worst provider I've ever used. I also believe they've just been taken over by Tiscali, but don't know for sure.

Again - Tiscali.

Half the price of my old BT connection and more reliable. Small point is they get snotty if you repeatedly do massiv downloads between 6 and 11 pm.

Tiscali

Been ver y good but must agree with the previous thread, not a million miles from me, between 1800-20.00hrs it does slow down and somtimes gets a bit of a pain. Lately it has become slow in the daytime on weekends, perhaps users nos. are increasing?.
