So i brought myself a set of gold Gilles rearsets for my 1999 Hayabusa.
They were only £170 so a great price IMO as they dont come up for sale used very often.
Anyway they were pitted a bit, but not that much, but me being me i sandblasted them and there now in primer.
I was careful not to sandblast or paint the joints as there a tight fit.
So i'm now trying to choose a colour to paint them.
The heal guards will be done Black. But i'm not sure on the main colour for the rearsets.
This is the bike there going on, so any thoughts please say.

Those look the business, for me I would personally go with Titanium Silver, which will match bike colour scheme, leaving pegs, heel plate and bolts the nice Aluminium colour.
The Titanium, with polished rims, was all the rage in the late 90's era, would finish that look, very classy.
Or go Loud n Proud, with a hydrodipped extreme look.

Hi Mr.GEE.

Thank you for your input. But i'm not changing the colour of the bike.
Titanium silver with black heel guards sound nice, but the pegs are already Titanium.
I'm thinking of Red to match the wheels, with black heel guards ?
Everything i've changed on the bike can be removed and put back to OEM in a day.
This Busa is a low VIN and one of the first sold in the UK.

Get some coloured tape in various colours - black, red, silver whatever. Apply, then stand back & see what takes your eye.

Aesthetics are a personal thing, not something for group think surely.

Hi, I did kinda get carried away with colour of bike change, oops!..Hydro-dipped, means you can just remove like a wrap when you get fed up of it, but personal opinions only matter, when it sounds good.
I agree with such a rare bike, best to keep it near standard as possible, for a good investment.
Red works as well. No doubt, someone will be along with, go for flames on the sides ..lol

Anything except those garish colours the anodisers offer, which only ever make a bike look worse.

Less is more.

Well i've now painted them. As they were small parts i used my airbrush and not any of my spray guns.
They have turned out very nice. I went for a classy look and not an in you face look at me.
Just waiting for the new fixing to come which should be this week.
So once there fitted i will put up a photo so you can all tell me i've done it wrong :hammer:DD

The Bike is now sorted for now. I must say i do like the look of it now.

The rearsets and pegless exhaust hangers look cool.

But there is no F-ing Way would i be able to ride it with them rearsets on.

I can only just sit on the bike in my shorts, never mind leathers.
