Which disc do I need to burn photos on?

I've just bought some DVD+R discs and also have some DVD-R somehwere.
What I want tio do is copy the photos from my PC onto a disc and then view the photos on my DVD player connected to my TV. When I burn the photos and then play the disc my DVD player says that the disc is bad

Any idea hwat I'm doing wrong - am I using the wrong type of disc?
I've got windows vista home premium, if that helps.

I'm assuming you have them in JPEG format and that your DVD player supports the playback

I normally use DVD-R in mine and haven't had any problems but I have had issues before with +R discs. HTH

... but basically you need to check what format the manufacturer of your DVD player supports.

Bring back Betamax and VHS !!

some players also need the disc to be finalised ie you are unable to add more photos to the disc.
