Which Dual Sport Helmet??

Hi guys,
Well, now that I have a GSA, I am thinking of getting a new helmet and I am planning on a dual sport type.
At the moment I have a Caberg Konda flip front, which I find decent enough and comfy, but can be a bit noisy.
Anyone got any recommendations, preferences or snippets of information about these dual sport helmets such as the Arai X4 Tour, Shoei Hornet DS or other similar helmets?

There's an AGV for sale now in the FS/W section, dunno what size you are.

I got my Arai Tour X3 from here as a used item, but it was as good as new. Some folk have issues with the peak vibrating and causing a buzz in their ears, but I must be lucky with my height, screen size combination, cos mine is faultless so far!

Which ever fits you best. I have an Arai x4, suffered from the same peak issues as the very first tourx I've fixed it now, but only with a bit of heath robinson diy, no solution from our Arai friends
Shoei, good helmet, I liked it alot, but could get a good fit.
Bmw enduro lid, had one cause I got it cheap. Light, comfy, noisy peak, non removable interior, poor visor seal.
Truth is, no matter how good they look, I think they are all shit compared to my system 5 or my hbc off road lid
Pick the one that fits and you like the look of, then live with the consequences of fashion

Hi, I have just posted in the product reviews area re the TX 4....make sure you get a good test with it first.

BMW lid no good for me as you can't get speakers for the comms in them. Also for te same reason with shoei. I have no problem with the peaks but all depends on te screen set up you have and your height. I have the MRA Xtreme extenda on mine and at 6ft tall have no buffeting and visor up at 90.

If comms aren't an issue, as te previous OP suggests, go for fit....but for me the best dual sport is the shoei.

I use a X-551 Adventure as it got a good review on Adventure Bike Rider mag. Tried it on along with Arai Tour-X and numerous other top brands, Spada Sting etc. Not as quiet as a Tour-X but good enough for dual sport and much much cheaper !

I have the AGV Dual sport and it's pretty comfortable. Only downsides I can find are the visor mists and gets bad condensation in cold weather, and when your in heavy rain (which it did on the way to Donington on Friday) the rain runs down the inside of the visor. However I did close the two vents at the front after about 20 mins and it did seem to make a difference, however most of the lining was a tad wet by this point.

I do like the helmet though, and I reckon with a couple of alterations it will be bang on.

Well guys, after reading a few dual sport reviews, I a bit dubious about their noise levels etc. Maybe I will stick with a flip up instead.
Anyone got any experiences with the Schuberth C3?
