Which engine bars

I got a set of these eBay item number: 391105204167 well pleased seem strong enough and when the bike is on its side all the plastics stay off the floor it rests on the crash bar handlebars and rear footrest

SW Motech are good - saved my plastics in a crash a while back with barely a scratch to them. Now have BMW ones which are more expensive but look nicer IMO. Can't comment on their effectiveness but can't see why they would be any less effective.

We have these fitted to a blood bike, highly recommended.

Seconded. I bought a set for my F650GS single but the beak clashed with the bars well before full lock. I contacted them and they sent me a set for the G650GS these fitted perfectly and I have full lock. They sent a courier to collect the old bars today.

Great quality & a great fit. And I can still use the BMW lowers bars with them too.

I have the Hepco and Becker ones, I prefer them like the BM ones as they fit in rather than take over the bike and still offer protection not trying to cover the bike in metal. But each to they own, roll over cage anyone.

HEED BASIC ENGINE BARS

I fitted a set of Heed's basic bars to my F650G2 Tin and they like they belong. Instructions were a bit confusing - they had left and right side mixed up plus the Heed logos on each side of the actual bars were upsidedown!

I got Heeds because I'd had them on my V-Strom and they held up fine over three stationary - but fully loaded for touring - stationary drops. Hopefully the BM's wonted be tested :)

Hi I'm looking at fitting a set of bars to my f650gs single cylinder 03 bike. Do the g650gs ones go straight on? Would you recommend these over the f650 ones. Also what is the quality like and do they look strong enough to withstand a fall. I am looking at some moderate green laning and touring with them so I want them strong just in case.

Any advice you have on these is appreciated. Thanks.

The ones they sent me fitted straight on. I don't have the bike anymore but would recommend them. Quality was as good if not better than the SW Motech bars I have on my LC now.

Not sure on their reliability with supplying, but HOLAN make bloody good bars, fitted the HOLAN Pro bars a number of years back, have dealt with many slow speed drops and off road dismounts and recently shrugged of a 50mph smash into a grass bank, rest of the bike didn't fair so well, neither did I! Picked the grass and mud out of the things (would make pretty good ploughs!) and nothing up the front damaged, back of the bike didn't do as well - bent sub frame etc.

For the protection they give, would by another set in an instant.

I use the sw-motech bars, and I do mean use them! Very strong and protect brilliantly.
