The cheap one, there's no need to use the screws if you use a strong plastic adhesive

I bought the cheap one, stuck it on with araldite and set off round France Switzerland and Germany, 2500 miles later it's still there and works a treat :thumb2

mine has been on for about a year - no rust on the screws yet, only item to note is that the plastic is not a match for the original mudguard.... it may not bother you tho.

I just checked the part number for the stainless version and its the same part number as I bought recently.

However the screws supplied in my kit were not stainless but plated mild steel.

As it happens I have loads of stainless screws from fitting boats out so I just changed them.

I personally would not use araldite as an adhesive on plastic that flexes as it tends to be brittle when hard and may just fracture resulting in it falling of.

I would use a plastic adhesive, but you need to be careful as some can be so powerful they will melt the original mudguard.

I just used stainless screws but did use silicon to seal it as dirty water can run down the joint and looks awful.
