On a bike... somewhere!
I'm looking putting a gel insert into my saddle. I'm pretty handy in the DIY department but I can't seem to find out what the best gel to put in. Seems to be lots of different types on Ebay.

Any one with personal experience of any - I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks

Hi ,
Been down this road with my Harley a few years back.
Tried Jellastic insert, proper rubbish as too thin.
Jell pad and foam cover designed for Harleys from US made little or no difference.
It really is a minefield
Latest thinking I have found is a type of memory foam from these gúys

not sure if it works but worth a shot if you really need it

good luck

I was getting a rear seat lowered and recovered and at the eleventh hour thought about a gel insert.

I went to Decathlon and bought an XL gel bicycle seat cover for a fiver. Local upholsterer picked out the shape in the foam.... Said it was a long job but turned out a treat. The Mrs spent a couple of hours on the bike and said its very comfortably and professional job.

Contact Les at Saddlecraft in South Shields (and check out their website) , they sell gel inserts and will advise

I put one of these on mine. Did the job pefectly.

Why not insert an AirHawk?
That way you can adjust the Seat whenever you want to.
HD do something similar called a Zeppelin I think and they're supposed to work really well.

+1 for danmedica

A cheap way to find out what you really need before committing to an expensive seat.

You can get a "velcro on" outer cover so you can trial the pad over your own seat first.
