Gerbing
In 2004 I replaced my R1100RT and made the conscious decision not to go down the heated grips route. In over a 100,000 miles of summer and winter commuting the outsides of my hands still got cold on really cold days (and nights). Heated grips were excellent when I was wearing summer gloves and they got wet (and then cold).
I went down the heated gloves route and never looked back. Heated gloves were the answer.
I bought Gerbing because they were leather and you can treat leather. I was impressed when one glove was replaced without quibble when it failed after not much use. I was not impressed when the replacement was found to be slightly smaller despite being the same size on the label. I had one glove that fitted and the replacement one a bit tighter (but still wearable). I feel that they may have unresolved manufacturing issues. This was the winter of 2004 and things may have improved since then.
