Which Headset????

This will be a simple question for those of you in the know!!!!!

I have an Autocom Super Pro AVI and have the headsets in both of my helmets with the background sensor fitted, which I assume is the Type D headset??? [It is so long ago that I bought them]

My wife has just shown an interest in joining me on the back of the bike and I thought that I would simply have to buy a 7 pin headset without the background sensor and fit that to her helmet as my helmet, will 'sort' out the noise??

Anyway, would a Type A headset do the job as it is the Type B which is shown for my unit??

Yes, the type A headset is the one you need (or disconnect the BGNS from one of your type B's and use that)

Tha Autocom brochure states that the Type A headset is for the Easi plus and the Active plus...the Type B headset is for the Super Pro AVI, which I have.

If I were buying new, I would therefore get a Type B, but am looking on fleabay for a bargain, so it might be a Type A that I get.

I presume either will work for the pillion, or will it??????

By all means attach type "B" headset into the pillion lead but DO NOT ATTACH a BGNS. The BGNS is only for the rider's helmet on the Super Pro AVi.
Alternatively you could buy a plain, old, simple type "A" headset for the pillion, as previously suggested.

Thanks John, from what you say, the Type B is the same as a Type A but with the option of connecting the background sensor?

Thats good, just looking for a bargain now!
