Which Modern bikes will become Classics?

Well I didn't think about that....

I've been keeping an eye out for a nice one, thankfully all I have found have been a few hours away so I've been able to talk myself out because I really don't need or have the room for another bike right now.

I remember back around 2017 the local dealer had a silver one sitting on the floor for over 2 years. The tag started at $5,900 but was marked down to $4,899. I thought about offering $4,200 but was afraid they'd accept. Now I wish I had bought it. Of course we can all reminisce about what we should have done.

The 500 is sweet!

My mate who I do filming for has this in if anyone would be interested in us doing a review on it - we were there filming an R1200C but thats another story

Stew the lad sitting on it bought one when they first came out

I hope you do, Mike. Personally I would be far more interested in the SR500 than a BMW Cruiser 1200. LOL but if anyone could portray a R1200C in a positive and desirable way it'd probably be you.

Thank you

I will set it up Stew has some great SR500 stories as well that we will include

TRX850
not many sold , engine felt like a Ducati , did 135 on the clock . ( in Germany , of course, not down the A3 )
I had a sorry example of a TRX back in about 2001 I think.
A red one, twice written off with a replacement engine. Good fun down at Lydden Hill…until I fell of at the hairpin. Very loud too with some cheap nasty ART end cans.

Happy days.

I nearly bought one about a hundred years ago but bought a ZX6R instead, the TRX would have suited me much better

I had an SR500E back in the mid 80's

The E was the one with the bigger headlight & mag wheels

Mate had an early one back around 78 (Cannop & Skippy) will know who I'm talking about

We (allegedly) saw 100mph on the clock coming down the hill from Maidenhead to Henley one morning at 2am. There were three of us on board at the time and yes alcohol was involved :censored:

The tail light was the only thing that was stopping me falling off the back was due to it being firmly rammed up my shitter
