BTW my local dealer Clarks of Dundee havent even bothered phoning me back since i asked them too quote. Didnt want my business i suppose.

A work colleague of mine always buys his bikes from Edinburgh/Dalkeith & also gets them serviced there despite the fact that lives in Dundee.
Like you, he's not impressed with Clarks so don't taake it too personally.



Oh, and no - it looks like I'll be given the already out of date Navi IV.

Are you sure about that? Rather seems to upset some of the grumpy old scrotes who've owned their GS' since before they were invented & were on this Forum posting RR's using their box brownies, slate & charcoal before Bill Gates was a toddler.

Sat nav 4 for me, dealer hasnt even seen a 5 yet. Monday delivery for bike now.................bugger no weekend run

Unfortunately my bike is being delivered around late afternoon, but i work nights so probably wont be here to collect. So its down too wife and son to take delivery !!

There is a story behind that and i wondered how long it would be before someone spotted it The wrong reg no was used when the plate was made but i spotted it when it was delivered and a new plate was sent up next day. So the number you see doesnt exist

I had something similar about 10 years ago when I bought a 6 month old Golf GTi

The last three digits on the plate should have been BYZ but the actual plates attached to the car read BZY.

I smugly pointed this out to the salesman who said "no problem I will get a new plate made"

Six weeks later and with the correct plate attached I went past a camera van slightly above the limit and BINGO I got a fooking speeding ticket through the post

Sometimes it pays to say nowt and if stopped, just act daft

But that would invalidate your insurance surely ? Think you might have been ok because you had the correct letters but in the wrong order, my one had a wrong letter altogether.

Picked my bike up yesterday - no Navi IV, in fact no Navi of any description as they're on back order. Be interesting to see what I get when it does turn up.
