Happy Days - The other half has just sanctioned the purchase of a TE. However, the only thing i'm not overly keen on is the Vario luggage. I would like something similar to the adventure panniers. Has anyone experienced or tried other makes on this model yet ?
I'm looking at SW motech TRAX ,TT zega pro and Givi trekker.

I don't want to spend serious money then find out they leak or work loose etc..

Cheers

Mick

Just waiting for TT to deliver the pannier frames then the old zaga boxes will be fitted. Been on order since their site listed them. They say Germany will deliver to UK 8th of this month.

The mockup bike TT did there design n development work on turned out to be different to production version hence they are late supplying.

I had intended to buy Givi Trekker panniers, but I have just had a response from Givi and they reckon the frames will not be on the market till the end of June:eek: No bloody use to me, going on hols at the start of June

Ordered Zega pro's for mine.

Have ordered the bike with a vario topbox, but I'm thinking I may be able to adapt the ADV rear rack to fot the new bike.

Steve.

I personally feel vario box plus TT panniers

Vario on its own for day to day convenience/ respectability, Zegas for when you want to look mean and both on when you're seriously touring and more concerned about space than image.

A combination of a BMW box and Zegas worked well for me on an 1100 GS :beerjug:

Problem for me with the vario box and the OE grabrail is that I like to remove the rear seat when I go camping.
With the Adventure grab rails and rear rack this gives a nice level surface across the back of the bike, with OE grab rail this surface is no longer level plus the top box sits much higher.

Just my take on it.

Steve
