Hi Guys,
I've had my 1200 now for 5 years and I very soon discovered that the standard screen was not much cop for touring with.
I bought a scratched Nippy normans high wide screen very cheap just to try to see if I liked it. 4 years later, the scratched screen needs to be changed!!
Should I go for the same again or try something else? I saw a Powerbronze one at the bike show that looked ok, any thoughts?
Thanks,
Stu :thumb

If you decide on a Powerbronze I have one I was going to put in the for sale section. It's tinted and pretty well as new condition - I believe it's done approx 700 miles and looking at the condition I've no reason to think otherwise! It came with some other bits I bought but I've no use for it.

Have a look at the Give AF330. Many of us use them and find them very good

Thanks for the offer stu but it will have to be a clear screen I buy. I dont like looking through a tint.

yes, i`ll admit they are a bit different. But very effective

Powerbronze screen

Hi Bobbin-man
Is the powerbronze screen a clear or tinted one? I have a standard GS so it does not have the raised mounting bar that the Adventure has fitted.
How much are you asking for it?

+1 for the Givi A330

When i fitted mine i ran the bike up the Motorway and thought whats all the fuss about ! then i realised that i had been cruising between 70 - 80mph and still had my flip lid in the open position !! I hate having my face covered when riding so the screen is ideal for me, with very minimum wind turbelence. I also fitted a set of winglets which seem to make a difference as well.

Hi Statler - it's a fairly dark tint and fits on the existing GS mounts (no need for the GSA bar). I guess it's approx 10cm higher. £60 plus postage.

Screen for R1200GS Adventure

Can you advise me on the best screen options for a 2011 R1200GSA. I'm 6'1'' and get quite a lot of noise and buffeting from the OEM screen set at it's highest position when travelling at speeds over about 65mph. I've been looking at the Cee Bailey 20'' or 22'' euro screen or possible the Wunderlich ergo screen. thanks

I use a clip on NN screen extender (I only clip it on for the motorway). I had to take it off in Italy as I needed the cooling breeze. Perhaps somebody near you has one you could try.

I use one of these ! I'm 6ft 1 and find it much quieter and less buffeting.

I used one of those on my GSA, & it was good, but the Z Technic screen I've now got is better, IMHO

I'd agree with that

I'm 6'4 and bought the z technic tall version, brilliant!!

Fitted it at the shop ( custom cruisers in alfreton,) and immediately noticed the difference in being able to hear the engine better and no buffeting on my lid.

It looks sweet too;)

I did not need to fit any extenders to my GSA

I will add a photo shortly

Cheers

That's really near to me so might nip down to have a look. It would be nice if they had one for demo :D
