which summer trousers

Hi,
Any advice on good, cool,ventelated, waterproof trousers. i have belstaff cordura trousers and have been up the road in them without a mark. i have looked at jeans, sarsto, but would prefer something waterproof.

Ant help would be much appreciated.

I have been using a pair of Hein Gerike summer trousers which are cordura with decent Hiprotec armour in them for a couple of years. Am wearing them for the run into work this week in fact, as it's warm (SW England!). They've been realy good. Originaly bought for South France and Spain they zip off just above the knee and turn into shorts for when your off the bike which at the time I thought might be an issue in the event of a slide down the road but in fact haven't been anything but excellent. They are light grey and don't absorb quite so much heat as black ones, wash realy easily and dry quick even with the armour in. They aren't waterproof, but the thing is if you want cool you can't realy do both. The Gortex/Simpatex/etc lining stops the draught. I carry cheap lightweight overtrousers for the rain.

On the other hand, the All Season H G suit trousers I also have, have a zip down each leg with a mesh filler for ventilation that are reasonably cool but are black and can get sweaty when it's hot but do have a Gortex lining. I wouldn't wear them in the heat tho.

I made the mistake of wearing leather in S-o-France once and nearly cooked. Yuk.

I use BMW Rally 2 Pro, jacket and trousers.

They may get some abuse on here, but they are seriously good bit of kit.

The Gortex liner comes out for the hotter climates, and there are enough ventilation zips to give a Punk an orgasm.

They often appear on this site secondhand as well!
