Not heard 'cripes' for years...made me laugh.

Good idea about putting them both up for top dollar, keep the one that doesnt sell.

I'd keep the SE.
But i'd never sell my 1100 so I'm no help at all.

I'll get me coat....:banana

In the same boat - good luck :thumb

if you can why dont you wait a few weeks ? Your circumstances might change and if not they will fetch a better price in the spring.

Strange how both of these elderly bikes are migrating towards the graveyard - is this the oilhead version of the elephants graveyard :augie

I don't see how one can have many memories with just 15K on the clock.

Memories of my 03 1150 GSA with 85,000kms on it was going up and down the same highways from A to B countless times and squared off tyres.
Sandstorms and cheap fuel.

If you do decide to sell the 1150.... can I please have first "dibs" on the Stanton headguards...... Pretty Please.

Bubb

simple.... how much money do you need / want..... whats the 1100 worth, really worth.... £3k?? the SE thats probably £6k....

if you need £6k sell the SE if you need £3k sell the 1100...... after all they are just nuts and bolts.......

if it was me??? i'd keep the SE for ever........... i'd ride it put 00000,000 miles on it and never look back..... the dated 1100...... Byeeeeee!!!

Appreciate the thought, but that was my previous SE, I swopped some of the parts on to my current one which has done very little other than Iceland, Pyrenees etc.

This was the old bike cleaned up again and put back to standard after 'that trip' and much more.
I sold it to a nice Belgium guy 20 mins after advertising:beerjug:
Note the very tidy sub frame reinforcement, just in front of the pillion footrest hanger which Vern did following a temporary repair in Mongolia:)

I'd definitely be hanging on to the 1150 if it's possible. You mentioned selling your Triumph in a recent post - how about flogging the 1100 and the Triumph?

Yes Lee, that's the decision I've made today.:thumb

Sorry to disappoint you about not selling the KTM,:D which has evolved into the perfect tool!

I mentioned the KTM tongue in cheek Tim - never expected you to sell it! Anyway, if you did, what would you ride on your next TAT! :thumb2

I reckon that in 5 - 10 years time, people will look back at the SE 1150GSAs as the pinnacle of the brand and their value will hold fast (like the RC30s or SP2 from Honda). The last SE 1150s are about 6 years old and I think you may struggle to get a better one if you regret the sale.

If I had the cash, I would have it off you in a heart beat and it would never leave my ownership - at the moment, I have a raggedy old 1150GS with 100K on the clock and the only way I would move it on is if it gets written off (or replaced with a GSA SE) :D

Sorry but its the triumph you must keep. Its going up in value, the others are coming down:nenau. the emotional connection some of you old buggers have towards your 1150's is misguided bollox.:thumb

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Advertise them all at silly prices, and the first one to sell is the one that goes. Simple really.

Edit; How much is Lyn insured for:hide
