cheers lads,i have a little sureweld inverter 161ac/dc with square wave and balance control plus slope up and slope downbut find it a bit light for doing long runs of weld,im welding 2.5 to 6mm aluminum and stainless, looking for somthing heavier(200 to 250A)with water cooled torch
I worked with a murex tradetig 350 for years and the abuse it got was unreal. It was used day and night and gave very little bother (high frequency mostely) so i would not hesitate in recomending any of there products
murex would be my prefered choice but dont think they do anything heavy enough for a supply voltage of 230.miller do awider range of ac/dc machines, still open for more suggestions
what are you going to use it for, is it only ocasional or high usage. I have used other types of machine and thru experience they were troublesome, mind you they were used often in harsh conditions. I also have a murex tradesmig since 1989 at home and its used quite a bit and has,nt given a bit of bother since i,ve had it. Billy
