Just checked my tappets / rocker endfloat to confirm that it is indeed my right hand TB that's tapping gently. Everything fine - exactly as when I set them 750 miles ago.
However, when I took the plugs out I noticed that the insulators were pure white - just as when I fit them 500 miles ago. They're these new fangled things with the tiny platinum electrode set flush in a big chunky insulator (Bosch Platinum FR6 DP). The old plugs I took out (normal, non-platinum) had nice 'light tan' insulators.
Is this normal for this kind of plug?
Apart from an oil change / air filter change, I've not touched anything else (well, except from the gearbox output seal
) and it runs fine (pops every now an then on the overrun, but this is normal I think?)
